Ultra soft Vivienne Westwood ice blue shirt. Vintage item from the 1999 collection, made in Italy. 2 pockets, Saturn orb and rings emblem embroidered on left pocket. Nice details of the logo engraved on the oval button of the collar and on the cuffs. Shirt worn on several occasions and treated with care. The pleated effect (in the outfit and in the material) is part of the design. No material degradation on the collar or cuffs. Pick up the thread on the right shoulder seam line (see photo). Collar slightly lightened in color (see photo), not visible when the shirt is worn. Impeccable cuffs. Mini pilling in rare places. Photographed example: around a button on the non-visible part of the button band. The material is not fragile contrary to its appearance. Dame Vivienne Westwood is an English fashion designer and businesswoman, largely responsible for bringing modern punk and new wave fashions into the mainstream. Westwood came to public notice when she made clothes for Malcolm McLaren's boutique in the King's Road, which became famous as "SEX". It was their ability to synthesise clothing and music that shaped the 1970s UK punk scene, dominated by McLaren's band, the Sex Pistols. She was deeply inspired by the shock-value of punk - "seeing if one could put a spoke in the system".
