About the designer: Although Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez met while students at Parsons back in 1998, it wasn't until their senior year that the two collaborated on a project together. After the success of this collection, which was bought in its entirety by Barneys New York, the duo established Proenza Schouler, which takes its name from a combination of each of their mother's maiden names. The first post-graduate collection from Proenza Schouler debuted in 2003 and was labeled one of the top collections that season by Style.com and WWD.
