product description
Coat trench coat + belt JIL Sander brown cord German 36 **Topp** Elegant, unusual coat in the style of a trench coat, with raglan sleeves, epaulettes and a wider belt. The fabric is a thicker corduroy, perfect for transition. It was only worn to the office three times and is in almost new condition. The coat closes with beautiful horn buttons and is doubled over a wide piece at the front. The underlying edge is fixed on the inside with several buttons. You can button it up to the neck or wear it slightly further from the neck with wide lapels (see photos). It has a beautifully designed pocket on the right and left. The approximately 5.5 cm wide belt has a metal buckle with a thorn and at the other end 5 holes that have a metal edging. Five belt loops ensure that it doesn't slip. An approximately 40 cm long slit at the back guarantees optimal freedom of movement. The coat is fully lined with a smooth fabric in the same color as the coat fabric. It is in almost new condition, only there are barely visible, darker spots on the inside of the lining (see last photo), which will most likely come out during the first cleaning as the coat has never been cleaned. Rated German 36, it is slightly larger, so please compare the measurements: Shoulder: approx. 44 cm; Width (from armpit to armpit, single): approx. 50 cm; Waist: approx. 49 cm, arm length (from armpit, there raglan): approx. 50 cm; Length: approx. 105 cm.
about JIL SANDER
Founded in 1968, the company went public in 1989. In 1999 Prada Group bought a 75% share in the company. Six months later, Sander departed the company, and it suffered serious financial setbacks. She returned briefly in 2003.
In 2006, private equity firm Change Capital Partners LLP (CCP) bought the company from Prada. At that point, the Telegraph reported that the company was in better shape financially. Prada CEO Patrizio Bertelli said: "As we focus on the development of the Prada and Miu Miu brands, I am certain that Change Capital Partners will be able to provide the necessary investment to further grow the Jil Sander business." Raf Simons remained creative director at Jil Sander.
In September 2008, the Jil Sander brand was purchased by Onward Holdings Co. Ltd (TYO: 8016), a Japanese multi-brand fashion conglomerate, and its European subsidiary GIBO' CO. S.p.A. for about US $244 million.
